Zack Snyder Talks 'Man of Steel'
What would you do if you were Superman? That's the question director Zack Snyder brought with him when he took on the reboot to THE superhero story that will hit theaters next summer.

One of the main issues with Superman that Snyder wanted to tackle was trying to make him more relatable, which isn't always easy to do when you're dealing with one of the most powerful and iconic superheroes of all time. Though the past Superman films have had various degrees of success, Snyder wanted to take this opportunity to start from scratch and introduce the character to a whole new generation. In an interview with Total Film, the director explained, "Superman is a big responsibility but I felt he needed to be reintroduced to a generation and I thought this was a great opportunity...We decided to act as if no Superman film had been made - even though we love the films that have been made."

Part of distancing the new Superman from the previous versions is making the decision not to include the classic John Williams score. Fans were disappointed to hear the music replaced with score from The Lord of the Rings in the recent teaser trailer and they won't be hearing it when the film releases next year either. The music you hear will instead be a new score from The Dark Knight Rises composer Hans Zimmer.

When asked about the planned Justice League movie, Snyder says, "We know Superman is the jewel in the DC crown. We want to get his house in order. And then? Who knows what's possible...?" Rumors are we will at the very least see some references to some of the Justice League characters like Batman and Wonder Woman, if not a direct lead-up to the planned superhero ensemble.

So what do you think of Snyder starting from scratch with Superman? Are you excited to see Henry Cavill don the blue tights for Man of Steel next year and can he make him relatable?
