“Skyfall” is the latest 007 film that has Daniel Craig blasting on the big screen in a big, and thanks to world-famous fashion designer, Tom Ford, in a very stylish way. James Bond has always been cool, so it’s no surprise that costumer Jany Temime decided Ford was the guy to help dress the coolest man on the planet.
Designer Jany Temime explains how she came up with the hip and striking look for the latest James Bond movie, with the help of fashion icon Tom Ford. “You have to respect a certain style – English gentleman, very dressed up, sometimes doing a lot of physical stunts with beautiful, glamorous women in exotic locations. So we have to give a new look to a very successful image,” said Temime.
Plus, the talented designer admits she was pleased that the many stylish whistles the Bond beefcake wore made the most of his muscles. “They wanted suits that were very near his body and they wanted suits that were very supple. They wanted that the suits moved with him and he does have a great body so it would be a pity not to show it.”
Jany’s designs then went to Tom Ford, who turned them into well-made, ‘indestructible’ costumes, ready to withstand the most energetic action scenes, concluded Skyfall’s famed designer.
“Skyfall,” Daniel’s third outing as 007, also stars Judi Dench as M and Ralph Fiennes as fellow agent Gareth Mallory.
The Bond Villain role is taken by Oscar-winner Javier Bardem while Naomie Harris Berenice Marlohe step into the elegant shoes of the Bond girls.
The movie is set for release on October 26.
